canine stroke care

I think my 10 yr old mixbreed has sufferd a stroke today. How might I know for sure? How can I make her comfortable through the night? Websites recommended?

What symptoms are you seeing? Are you seeing one sided weakness? Facial slackening? Drooling? Walking in circles?

If so, your pet might be suffering from vestibular disease instead of a stroke. It's very common. It's a disease of the inner ear.

It is treatable with antibiotics so be sure and see your vet as soon as you can for a diagnosis and to discuss your treatment options.

I recieved te info. after a delay, (on this end ... my apologies) about the possibility of V. Disease and that information, but none about stroke?

The dog has mad marked improvement in the last 2-3 days with no treatment? Still slight head cock and some loss of balance, but is eating, drinking, getting in and out of house on her own, etc. Your thoughts?
