Question

i have a yr old english bulldog with a benign jaw tumor

Sent to Pet Experts December 18, 2005 1:48 a.m.

I have a 7 1/2 yr old English Bulldog with a benign jaw tumor called an acanthomatous epulis. The vet suggests he have surgery to have 1/3 to 1/2 of his lower jaw removed to totally get rid of the mass. If we don't he will eventually suffer. Do you suggest this type of surgery for a bulldog? and do they do well with this surgery? What are the complications for a bulldog and what usually happens with them after surgery?
