As long as it was plain aloe it shouldn't bother him. Of more concern would be any additives to it.
They actually make drinkable versions of aloe for people to drink.
Hope this helps you!

Reply to Nancy Holmes's Post: This is aloe that I drink. It also has in it Cat's claw bark extract, chamomile flowers extract, burdock root extract, hawthorn berry extract, astragalus root extract, sheep sorrel herb extract, slippery elm bark extract, rhubarb root extract.
He only drank about a 1/4 oz. of it. Please get back to me asap.

Wow thats a lot of unregulated chemicals that are supposed to be in there. Most of them seem OK but a couple are poisons if the proportion isn't right. Its nothing I would give a dog on purpose but with so small an amount if you see no reactions I'd just try to make sure he didn't get any more again as its usually second exposure that causes an allergic reaction.
I would watch him and as long as you see no adverse effects (vomting, lethargy, diarrhea, hives) I'd say he did not have enough of it to bother him.
If you do see hives or breathing issues that you think might be an allergic reaction to this then try Benadryl at a dose of 1mg per pound of dog to help him while you get him to a vet. Make sure its plain Benadryl. If you do have to go to a vet bring your bottle of Aloe with you so the vet can see the ingredients list.

Thank you so much. He seems to be fine. I will watch him through the night. Your service is great; I just wish I didn't have to go through the registration part while I was extremely worried about my little friend. He is one of the lights of my life. Happy Holidays to you and yours.
