Sent to Pet Experts December 16 12:39 AM

I have a 3 yr old teacup poodle and she received a rabies shot and i noticed a black bruise on her and took her back to vet and he said it was given to her on the wrong side; now she has a large spot and the hair has stopped growing there and it looks like it is getting bigger. What do i need to do?

It sounds like she may have an infection there. I'd call your vet again and relate the new symptoms and see if they need to see her.
She may need antibiotics or allergy meds to resolve this or she may have some other issue like a bleeding disorder that the vet needs to address.
Hope this helps you!

Thank you for your input, i would just like to say that he told me that this sometimes happens with small dogs and especially white ones...also he said it might not go away. Does this mean she will be like this for the rest of her life? The pigment of her skin is darkened and seems like it is spreading downward to her leg. I will follow up with another vet. thank you
