My 5month old. Rhodesian Ridgeback/Yellow lab has 2

Sent to Pet Experts December 06, 2005 12:03 p.m.

My 5month old. Rhodesian Ridgeback/Yellow lab has 2 small sores. One is on the inside of his back paw pad on the right and the other is identical and in the same spot on the left. They look a little red and there seems to be some puss. He's been licking them for the last 3 days and yesterday the vet said to clean his feet with oxy pads. But yesterday, the sores were not there. They only appeared this morning. What do you think? Will the oxy pads now hurt him? Is there something better I should try or should I just bring him back to the vet?

He may be licking these spots due to allergies. We rub our eyes and dogs lick their feet.
You can try the Oxypads but if you have no luck I'd suggest seeing or calling the vet and do discuss food allergies as swapping the diet might resolve this.

Hope this helps you!
