my lab has a red sore on her snout about 1 inch up ...

my lab has a red sore on her snout about 1 inch up from her nose. It started yesterday as a ring worm type bump and today it has transformed into a red soft tissue sore. I don't know what to do to help her...a vet is definitly in order and we plan to take her first thing in the morning, any idea of what it might be...any treatments?
