Hi and good evening...I arrived home from work today to find my 6 year old rottweiller (male) genghis, unable to stand or to even get up from a laying position. He is holding his right paw in a somewhat curled position and appears somewhat confused, yet frustrated that he is unable to rise on his own. He was fine when I left this morning and everything seemed on the norm leading up to the display of these symptoms..Tongue is slightly more crimson than usual, he is not running a fever and appetite does not appear to be affected..What is up?? Read something about canine peripheral vestibular syndrome and sounds similar, however, he is exhibiting same symptoms as a CVA patient..Any ideas, opinions, etc?..My vet was unable to be reached and I have left a msg, but have yet to hear back....am nervous wreck..Thank-you in advance for your assistance!! Annie

Optional Information:
Age: 6; Male; Breed: rottweiller

Already Tried:
trying to keep him hydrated, gave him 2 canine aspirins, am keeping him comfortable and warm...I know that he has got to go outside to go potty, but am unable to assist him in getting up...He is 125lbs. He does not appear to be in any pain, but he is starting to whine softly. HELP
