When the kitten came to your home he was "new" and it is surprising that your resident cat tolerated him so well. Now she has just reached a point where she needs some space.
Try separating them (in different rooms) for short intrtvals and you will find her welcoming him back.
She is the equivilent of the "big sister" and she just needs some time apart.
It is a tribute to YOU that your cat is so loving and accepting!

She will still clean him when he lays next to her. I took her to vet because she has become so inactive. She eats less. Thet can not find anything wrong. She use to watch everything he did and now she is a couch patato

As long as she is still eating well you don't have to worry. It is also possible that your cat has convinced herself that she is the mother of this kitten. Did you know that cats will normally let their jkittens eat FIRST before the. People should be so unselfish! She May be eating less to save some food for him. She is content to lie around and care for her adoped offspring. Let her be. She knows what she is doing

Reply to Terri Riba's Post: She did have one kitten before she was neutered. I think that is why she accepted him so well but she is not eating as much. She eats the kittens food so that may fill her up faster but her appitite and her curiousity has really dropped off. It has me concerned. The litter box output is less as well.

THanks what threw me off was that it took a Month after we got Latte for this to happen. I was prepared for adjustment when we brought him home and it went so well I was thrilled. I actually got him for company for her because I work long nights. She's not to happy right now becuuse I dragged her off to the vet to see if there was anything physical wrong with her. I appreciate your help.
