My Mini-Schnauzer is bleeding (spots) for the past 3 - 4 days and has delivered her first litter of pups 3 1/2 weeks ago. Normal or not? She eats well, is active & seems otherwise healthy.

Optional Information:
Age: 1; Female; Breed: miniature schnauzer

I would have the vet check her for infection as the bleeding is usually long over by the time the litter is 3 1/2 weeks old and usually that is only a mild brownish discharge not fresh blood after a day or so after birthing.
If you are seeing this in her urine it might be a urinary tract infection. That would need vet care too.
Also check to make sure no mammary glands are infected and leaking blood as that could impact the pups if they nurse an infected gland.
Hope this helps you!
