I am a former tech (your thinking oh, great) but seriously, my mother has a 4 year old yorkie who has never had any health problems but for the 2 months he has 2-3 minute spells where he walks in an 's' shape like he has been drinking but today it seems to be getting worse, one of his front legs stuck out & one of his back legs stuck out & then he acted like he couldn't stand up & just laid down, it lasted for about 3-5 minutes & then he was fine, could this be seizure or glucose? it seems to be getting slowly but surely worse but I really don't want to put the dog on phenobarb at this early age if it isn't necessary but my mother also doesn't want to take him in & spend alot of money on bloodwork if it isn't going to show....please help if you can, Thanks, Tracy

so what would be the first plan of attack...bloodwork? I thought about the karo syrup or honey but by the time you go & get it & come back & administer it to him the episode has passed, should I still give it to him?
