what to give a husky to gain weight? do to old age

he is 14 years old had been sick back in the summer from the heat and does have problems with his hips but still walks and jumps he is and outside dog has been all his life he's never like to be in doors he is starting to breath heavy and once in a while thro up alittle but is eating i just changed his today to see if that makes a differnce
