I have a male cate....extremely similar in all ways to the Russian Blue, BUT he has yellow eyes. Very protective, and recently thinks that attacking someone who bothers him, while sleeping, or when he doesn't get what he wants. I am the owner, and he has NEVER attacked me, but a 2 year-old, and just last night a friend of mine that came over, and she wanted to take a picture of him because he's 21 lbs. He's so affectionate, and is very friendly when others come over. BUT when someone stops petting him, or when he feels bothered he hisses as the intial warning, then attacks! I am so upset with him, he's never behaved liek this before. He is an indoor cat, I let him outside only by leash. He's active and loves toplay hide and seek. What does this type of behavior mean? I am very concerned.
