Our 4 yr old spayed female beagle woke up this morning ...

Our 4 yr old spayed female beagle woke up this morning crying and the area around the anus looks slightly swollen and raw. I'm sure this is a sudden onset, as she believes she is a lap dog and we keep a close eye on her. We do have 2 other larger dogs in the house and am not sure she' been getting to all her food.
