UNKNOWN ILLNESS

MY YELLOW LAB HAS BEEN IN ALMOST CONSTANT CARE AFTER AND UNEXPLAINED EPISODE OF GOING OUT IN THE YARD , AND THEN COMING IN AN HOUR LATER , AND THEN NOT EVEN BEING ABLE TO GET UP OUT OF HIS BED. AFTER GETTING HIM TO THE EMERGENGY VET , THEY COULD FIND NO REASON FOR IT, EXCEPT AND ELEVATED WHITE BLOOD COUNT.
WE ATTACKED THAT WITH ANTIBIOTICS , AND IT SEEMED TO BACK OFF. NOW OVER THE LAST EIGHT MONTHS THERE SEEMS TO HAVE BEEN A STAEDY DETERIORATION OF STRENGTH, LOSS OF COORDINATION, LOSS OF MASS IN HIS HIND LEGS, AND SOME LOSS IN HIS "BRIGHTNESS AND WELL LOOK",WE DID MORE ANTIBIOTICS WHICH SEEMED TO HELP BUT AS SOON AS WE STOPPED IT WAS WORSE.THIS ONLY SEEMED TO SLOW THE PROBLEM. TWO OTHER DOGS WE HAD SOME TIME AGO STARTED THIS AND WENT FROM THIS STAGE RIGHT ON TO INABILITY TO WALK RIGHT, THEN KIDNY DIFUNCTION, MENTAL DISABILITY, SEISURE, AND THEN HEART ATTACK, WE WERE SUSPECT THAT THEY WERE POISONED BY SOME
PERSONS THAT I HAD TESTIFIED AGAINST AS A HATE ACT, BUT NOW THIS FOLLOWING THE SAME COURSE AND ONLY BEING SLOWED DOWN AT BEST WORRIES ME THAT HE WILL END UP IN THE SAME CONDITION. THERE WAS AN AUTOPSY OF ONE OF THE OTHERS WITH NO FINDINGS, EXCEPT, THAT THEY SAID THERE WAS NO PHYSICAL REASON FOR THE DOG TO BE DEAD, BUT YET IT WAS. ONE KEY SIGN SEEMS TO BE LOSS OF CONTROL IN THE FRONT LEGS, AND ABILITY TO FLOP THEIR PAWS AS THEY WALK, THEN FALLING WHEN THEY COME DOWN ON THEM STILL BENT UNDER. ALL THREE HAD THIS RIGHT BEFORE THE BAD HIT, THEN IN FOUR DAYS UNDER CONSTANT CARE , THEY JUST WENT AWAY. ANY IDEAS,EVERY POISON ANYONE COULD DREAM OF WAS LOOKED FOR, THE ONLY THING EVEN REMOTE IN ROUND-UP IN 2% SOLUTION THAT EVERYONE AND THE CITY SEEMS TO USE EVERYWHERE. IS THAT A POSSIBILITY?

Do you have many ticks in your area? Were any of them tested for tick borne diseases? If I were you I would ask my vet what he/she thinks the possibility of this is and if they feel it would be a good idea to test this one dog for those diseases. Antibiotics do help with these types of disease while the dog is on them and a lot of the symptoms you describe are common for this. If this answer was helpful please remember to accept it.
