diarhea and vomiting

my dog has diarhea I have fed him only rice with boiled chicken he is still sick he is vomiting I don't have the funds to see a vet at this time is it possible to feed him something else or give him some special food like scrambled eggs or cottage cheese he is a golden retrevier this has been 3 days thought he was getting better and he threw up twice
