Question

My little boy

Sent to Pet Experts June 10, 2005 1:42 a.m.

I have a 4 year old male cat that is loosing his hair and areas mostly the legs and sides of his body. His coat is not as pretty and shiney and also it comes out in large amounts when petting him. I was told by my vet it could be Feline Alpecia and he was on some medication but it would help a little but never show that this med was helping. I had a house fire and he was burned on several spots and was in critical condition for a while but has recovered. Could alot of his hair loss be stress related. My vet really didn't not have an answer and could tell me nothing on the Alpecia.
