Question

parakette health

Sent to Pet Experts May 16, 2005 10:34 a.m.

My parakette has been molting and it seems to be taking longer than normal. When he eats his seeds after he has them in his mouth for awhile, then he starts shaking his head and spitting seeds out. This has been going on for about 2 weeks, he has an appetite and eats other foods fine. We don't have a vet around that takes care of birds and I don't know what else to do for him. By the way he is 9 years old. He was perfectly fine before his molt.
