have a 7 month old slider turtle and his or her eye looks closed--it looks like a pink shell -is this a infection or is this normal? what can I do to help with this problem?? and will my other 7 month old get it too? they lay on the basking rock most of the day with the heating lamp-they both eat good-I change the water in the tank every other day and change the filter also-they won't eat any kind of pellets--only cooked fresh shrimp and small meal worms-no greens at all-can you help??? thanks

No this is not normal and it is a sign of the turtle having a problem. Thing is it could be a couple of things including a nutritional issue or an infection.
As they are being very fussy about food you need to figure out how to load the food they will take with the vitamins and minerals they need.
You can try treating the eye with diluted boric acid eyewash or sulfamethiazine. The water in the tank needs to be kept clean to avoid new infections.
