I have a female(notspayed)beagle named Lily, I love her but she has serious behavior problems, She is very head strong, hard to train. She has gotten really bad about nipping at people around any food situation or when people get in her space (sleeping) She has now begun nipping at people and looking as if she will persue a further aggresive attack. Luckly, at these incounters I have been present. My immediate disipline(deep growl, yell, no,no and Isolation.) does not seem to help. I have spoiled her, I share my food...and now she is pushy about it, pawing and crying, yet I can tell her not to "swipe" (sneek food from the plate)and she will leave it alone until I dish it out. I am terrified when we have company that they may invade lily's space and she will nip, and persue. She still is not potty trained on top of it all, this has been a battle, I have shown her the mess and immediatly taken her outside, to reiderate the point, she goes out at least five times or more a day to releave herself. To top it off she crys for her walks on schedual everyday. I tell her and reward her when she goes outside She crys (howl, talk) when she wants something she knows I won't give her. (cat food) she badgers me for a long period of time. I have spent lots of money on carpet cleaners and rental machines to clean my home. Thats no big deal but if she bites someone thats a diffrent story. I am at the point of considering, spaying lily, and a correction collar. Is this wise and how can I better train my head strong beagle? I love Lily she is very sweet with myself and my Partner, our cat, and some selected individuals. HELP!!!!!!!!
