My rabbit has some kind of infection on his face.

My rabbit has some kind of infection on his face. There is a bad odor and it looks like it is wet on his neck and right cheek. He is trying to clean it and is itching it. I thought that he peed on himself but a friend of mine said it smells like puss. I can not tell where it is coming from. Above his nose it is hard but there is no skin breakage there. He is twelve years old. He is eating and drinking his water so I don't think he is dying. Can you please let me know if there is something I can give him,
