My short-hair tiger is about 2 years old and is suffering with a skin problem that may be an allergeric reaction to something in her diet (according to her vet). She is totally house bound, does not eat people food and eats very little cat treats. She has been raised on Wellness Cat Food and just in the last few months started eating Purina Cat Chow also. Any ideas what I might try

Your cat may be suffering from a food allergy to corn. Since she was raised on Wellness, I believe that food does not contain corn GLUTEN. Purina does. Stop the Purina and see if things improve. You can also try a lamb and rice diet (corn free) or some cats do well on a rabbit formula food. (Not a food FOR rabbits - a food made FROM rabbit). There are many products available. For an online store that has every food made (I think) - check out www.petfooddirect.com - you may have to put her on a canned food as I don't think rabbit comes in a dry formula.

Please let me know if I can assist further.
