eggs

I live in central alabama along the coosa river. Today we found three eggs outside laying on top of the ground. They were not in a nest, just an indented area. They are tear drop shaped. Beige with black, gray, brown and white spots that look like paint drops. They are 1 1/2 to 2 inches long. Can you identify them.
