How do you tell if a cat has a fever? My cat is drinking excessive amounts of water.

 You can take your cats temperature with a rectal or ear thermometer - normal temp is 101-103.  However, there are many other reasons for increased thirst. 

When did this start?

How old is your cat?

Any other signs or symptoms?
