Question

my cay is losing her hair

MY CAT IS HALF PERSIAN SO HER HAIR WAS LONG AND THICK. NOW IT IS SHORT AND IS THINNING, LIKE IT'S BEEN CUT OFF. SHE HAS BEEN WORMED. SHE RUNS, PLAYS, AND HER APPETITE IS GOOD. WHAT CAN I DO? SHE WILL BE 7 YRS OLD IN MAY. SHE WAS HUGE AND FLUFFY, NOW IT LOOKS LIKE SOMEONE TOOK SHEARS TO HER. HER HAIR IS VERY SHORT. COULD IT BE HER AGE?

How old is your cat? Any other symptoms? Do you see her grooming? Where is the hair loss?

my cat is going to be 7 yrs old in May.she grooms herself as she has always done, no change seen. the hair loss is all over her body. She looks like someone took shears to her. She still has hair but it is short and thinning. she used to be huge and fluffy. it just happened all of the sudden. her appetite is good and she still plays. she just doesn't look healthy to me any more. thank you for your response.
