can you help me?

A while ago my cat had had some kind of injure on his right paw. soon after we found out the paw started to bald. And not 2 weeks later 3 of his toes were hair less. after about 2 weeks I was looking at his paw and the hair had grown back but was white. my cat is black and only 3 of his toes are white. how did that happen?
