(Not a Pet Question?)

Is it OK to discuss euthanizing your pet?

My question is about doggie ethics. Our toy poodle (Tiger) is over 14 years of age. She has been diagnosed with breast tumors (approximately two years ago). In the last year, she has steadily lost control of certain bathroom functions...she basically goes whenever, wherever the urge strikes. Because of that, we began having her sleep in a cage (we call it her home, and she responds). Now, over the last 3 months, she has begun to wimper, yelp, and howl while in her home. Obviously, this has made it difficult for the family to function, as we get little sleep because of the noise. After two family discussions in the last week, we've agreed that Tiger has lived a full life. Is it wrong for us to have such a discussion?
