We have a 5 month old Boston Terrier. He is lovable but driving us nuts. I know he is in the chewing stage but he picks up everything he can and chews on them. Sticks, stones, cat litter, dirt, etc. Mostly he gets on ok but there are days that he throws up a lot. It is not a huge amount of vomit but sometimes it is about 2-3 tablespoons and sometimes it is about a teaspoon. We try to pull everything out of his mouth when we see it but we can't be with him 100% of the time. Also, he never throws up during the night or when he is napping. He does throw up when he wakes from a nap and sometimes there is no rhyme nor reason. We have no plants in the back yard and we watch him when he is in the front. We feed him Nutro puppy food since it advertises no wheat and is made with Lamb and Rice. He gets no table scraps and only occasionally gets a doggie biscuit. When he is in the throwing up stage we don't give him any at all. He eats a cup of food in the morning (5 am)and a cup at night (5 pm). His poops are usually ok and only diahrrea once in a while. He is in the process of getting rid of his baby teeth. Do dogs vomit when they are teething? Should we feed lesser amounts and more often? Should we switch to a different dry food or try canned? He usually throws up at least once a day - not heavy mind you, but the tablespoon quantity. Today however, he has thrown up at least 6 times - never a lot, but still happening. Any ideas or suggestions?
