i have a yellow lab, he is almost 2years. every once and awhile he raises his back leg to avoid walking on it. sometimes its after a big run, but sometimes he does it for no apparent reason. he has had no breaks or injuries. just wondering what the cause of this may be. thank you , isaac

Reply to Theresa's Post: this has been happening off and on for about 3-4 months. it has occured a couple of times in that time frame. for example he ran alot yesterday no problem, and today i notice he is raising his leg, i kick the ball around so that he will put weight on the leg and he does. it seems to be good while we are playing(i think because he just wants to play)but after he lies down and gets back up he is holding his leg again. but tomorrow i know it will be fine. it just seems that this has been has been going. to me, and i know nothing about this, it seems as though maybe his leg is cramping. thank you
