Hello and thanks for researching this very important question!

Rabbits feed and wash their babies only once or twice daily...usually at dusk and/or dawn. The rest of the day they spend feeding themselves and staying away from their nest so as to avoid predators.

If this is a truly orphaned bunny (with eyes still closed), this is a link that gives detailed care instructions, including a formula and how to clean its bottom:

When wild bunnies open their eyes (3-4 weeks of age) then they are ready to be released...do not attempt to raise wild rabbits as pets, they seldom adjust to captivity. They usually die from shock. Most states also have very strict laws against keeping wildlife as pets.
