i've had ozzy for 7 months, and still he won't come to me and if i put my finger near him, he bites. i just found out i'm diabetic and i've gotten some pretty nasty bites from him. when he was given to me for a present i was told he was close to a year old. i can't leave the room or he starts calling for me and when i'm near him he won't have anything to do with me, please help! thanks by the way he is a cocktiel

Hi Gwen. Do you have any information at all about Ozzy's past history? Where he came from; store, private owner, breeder? Do you know positively that he is male? Please tell me about his dailey diet. Is his cage door always closed, open some of the day, open all the time? Where is he when you are trying to interact with him; still in the cage, sitting on top, sitting elsewere away from the cage? How much time, on average, do you have to spend with him each day? Is he covered at night? About how much night time, sleep time, does he get? This extra information and anything you can think of to add will help me give you my best possible answer and advice. Thanks, Patricia
