I recently bought a Black Bear hamster.
He seems healthy but acts strangly sometimes.
He is twitchy and sometimes he will just lay down in the middle of his cage without curling up or anything.
Is this normal?
He also has large testes that bulge out of his fur on occasion.
Is this normal?
I have been thinking about returning him for a female Black Bear because i have had female hamsters before and have never had problems with them.
Are females better behaved than males?

Adding a new hiding place, providing all the essentials, adding a tube for him to hide in, ect.
