can you use sawdust and woolen type bedding for a tortoise if not what do i use

Hi Doodle. No, that would not be a good choice. Your Tortoise needs something similar to whatever is his natual habitat. Since I don't know exactly what type you have, you will have to read the information and than decide. It may be one of the "chip" types or maybe just sand and/or gravel, or maybe natural grass. It's going to depend on your Tortoise. I'm going to give you some links to a good bit of information, tips and suggestions for those who keep Tortoises. One link has some pictures of various types of habitats. I hope this will be helpful information and enable you to set up the best possible housing and exercise area for your little guy.
