it is quite common for the pups to wait until mom is done giving birth before beginning to nurse. they will wiggle and squirm around getting used to their new environment. just keep them warm and comfortable and close to mom while she is still in childbirth. our danes have gone as long as 13 hours before their first "nurse" after birth. while I'm sure it won't take that long with your yorkie it is not unheard of. I understand fully how nervous it can be the first time but it still is each time if the truth be told. you worry and watch and make sure everything is going ok and that feeling doesn't change no matter how many times you have a litter. if they are not feeding by tonight then I would start them on a bottle of lukewarm water with just a pinch of sugar and salt added or you can use unflavored childrens Pedialyte which is much easier, just warm it up a little (like a baby bottle) before giving it to them. they should begin to nurse within just a few hours of mom having her last pup.

I hope this helps. please let me know if you need further info and congratulations on your new family members.
