Question

Breeding

Sent to Pet Experts May 26, 2006 1:17 a.m.

We have a Chocolate lab couple. they are both three years old. We got them last year and she was expecting puppies already. She had a littler of 10 on Christmas morning. We wanted to skip a cycle to give her a rest, but i dont have to tell you it was imposible to keep them apart 24/7. They have hooked up a number of times and puppies are a for sure thing at this point. Our question is, Will it harm the pups or the momma? being that she is only 3 and this will be her 3rd litter? We are not Pro breeders by any means, so we would take any advise on the subject. We do love haveing the puppies around and did a great job with the last batch (our first ever) but if this time wont hurt her or the pups we'll let it go and get her fixed after birth. Thanks for your time, Brock & Vanessa Martin Tacoma Wa.

How good a shape is she in? Had she fully recovered from nursing the first litter? What kind of food do you feed?
