I got my 5 month old lab spayed on Friday and they gave me the wrong size of cone thing that goes around her neck.. Jazz was fine for the first few days, but since Sunday, she has been really biting at and licking her wound, she ripped the stick out, but it seems to look healed. It almost looks like she has hives, because she keeps biting where the hair is growing back. We have been trying to keep the wound covered, but she rips it off. Today I went and got a larger cone, but wondering if there is anything we can put on her belly to keep it moist and not so itchy? Or do I need to take her back in?
