I'm not a vet, but I do recall in horses I have owned that one or two had a swollen fetlock area from a bee or fly sting or spider bite. Have you checked for evidence of a bite? Also, are there any sharp objects she could have come up against and bruised herself where she is stabled or pastured? Is she limping, showing signs of stress/discomfort, or running a fever?

Good luck with your horse!
