I have 2 female Guinea pigs. I got them in sept and oct and they were born in aug. They have been really good until about a month ago. They will not be quiet! The week everytime they see or hear me or when I open the fridge or touch anything that sounds like a plastic bag. And I cant get them to stop. I dont like to give them veggies when they week like that because it is encourging the behavior. But it get them to be quiet for about 20 min! They were never like this and they routine has not changed any. I dont know whats going on. My boyfriend is going to be moving in with me and it also bothers him as well. I dont know how much longer I can keep it up! Thanks for your advice! I really dont want to get rid of them but I dont know what else i can do to keep it quiet around here! Thanks

Is this your first experience with guineas?
What is their cage size? Type? If glass, gallons?
What kind of bedding?
Do they have access to Timothy Hay?
Do they have hiding areas?
How often are they out of the cage to run?
How often do you play with them?
