I have a three-year old, 6-1/2 pound, neutered Papillon who is throwing up. It's beigey/pink in color and smells awful. His stomach is often rumbling. We feed him dry dog food and table scraps. This condition has been going on...off and on...for a few months. He's kinda hyper and ADD!   Can I give him some kind of antacid?

You can give him some Pepto-Bismol at a dosage rate of 0.5 to 1.5 ml daily split between two to four doses. This would equal to one and a half teaspoons total daily to help with the upset stomach. You can also give some Pepcid at a dosage rate of 0.25 to 0.5 mg per pound of body weight every 12-24 hours to help with the indigestion as well. I would avoid the table scraps as much as possible if this condition has been going on for awhile as this will help to eliminate alot of the problem that you are having.
