We have a stray female that has been around our house for quite sometime now. Last week we discovered she was pregnant and this morning we were woken up to a litter of three. Unfortuntley it seems that the mother does not know what to do with them. She sleeps with them but they are all very cold and seem to not have been fed. Is there a way to encourage feeding in her?

Frst and foremost you need tgo get their body temperature up if they are cold as this is of upmost importance. You can help to stimulate her nipples as this can encourage feeding but she may need food to gain strength to be able to produce milk if she is a stray. They also sell replacement milk, syringes, and bottles at your local Wal-mart so just in case I would go get some as they need to be fed and also you will have to help them stimulate bowel movements if she does not do this as well by using a warm washcloth and gently rub the anal and genital area to help stimulate bowel and urine movements. But first get a heating pad put a towel on it and get them warm as soon as you can as this is essential to survival.
