I have a chicken with an injured comb and am not sure how to handle it? My coop has two sections, one where the nesting boxes and hens are housed and one that we use to store the cans of extra food etc. The door between the two sections came open somehow and the hens got into our zone. I think what happened is that a shovel got knocked over and it cut the chicken's comb. The comb is all bloody (fresh blood) and I'm wondering what to do if anything? I'm most worried about the other hens pecking her. Is this an issue? Please advise.
