Only to some extent. Black can carry recessives for yellow and chocolate.
Yellow is a modifier not a color exactly so it can carry black and chocolate too.
Chocolate can carry yellow.

You have two impacts on color in the breed the modifier that creates yellow (or doesn't) and the genes for chocolate and black.
