Will a cocker bitch have a white discharge if she is in heat?

We were given cocker puppy a few weeks ago, so far as we know she has never been in heat. She is now showing all the signs without the bleeding. Is this a false heat or do we need to take her to the vet?

what signs exactly is she showing? Is she eating and drinking properly? Is she still active? How old is she?
