I cut one of my beagle's nails too short, she bled a little, and we put pressure and a little nail polish on it, Any more advice, besides be more careful ?

Pressure, cold towel application, a little nail polish.

Why did you put nail polish on it, that can problems if it goes in her blood. Take it off, if it starts to bleed apply some syptic powder or cornstarch works the same, apply pressure for a minute or two, keep it clean, and she'll be fine.
