I had my miniature male Dachsund neutered on January 3rd 2006 and my female pugs came into heat that same week i have been keeping them seperated since . Is it safe now that it has been 3 weeks or 21 days to let them play together again without the dachsund getting one of them pregnant im just concerned as i was told the dachsund could still mate for a fuew weeks after he was fixed and impregnate my pug just trying to be careful. This is my pugs 2nd heat if that helps . ty for help.

It is recommended to keep males away from intact females for 30 days after being neutered. They have some sperm stored that can still be fertile during that time.

After that he can still "mate" with them, but there shouldn't be any more sperm left.
