Shaking is difficult to assess. There are a number of possible causes but many times it seems to occur in older dogs without any discernible underlying cause. We usually try hard to make sure this is not from an unidentified source of pain and if we can't find a problem like osteoarthritis or disk disease we pursue other testing based on the overall clinical picture. In your dog's case our next steps would be to test for an eliminate causes of shaking as contributing factors -- a general blood panel and the specific testing for Cushing's disease may be necessary.
Is there any other things that are different? Like does she drink more water, relieve herself differently, vomiting or diarrhea?
