My 2 1/2 month bichon-poo was diagnosed w/Kennel Cough and Parasites/worms. He is currently on medication, but when he first got sick he had a jerking or wheezing type spasm in his stomach. Can you tell me if this is normal, or what illness is this a sign of. I'm very concerned. He's coming around slowly but when he settles down and at night, he does this quite often.

Optional Information:
Age: 2; Male; Breed: bichon-poo

Already Tried:
Antibiotics by vet.

When this happens, does he stand with his feet splayed? Does he hang his head and honk?

No he was just diagnosed with pneumonia. He is now 10 1/2 wks old. Weighs 4.2 lbs, and is being treated. My follow up question is what are his chances of recovery, and if he makes it could he have problems down the road, and would you recommend getting a new puppy and starting over???
