is it possible for a female lab to take on the position of

Is it possible for a Female Lab to take on the position of the Mother of a new pup and actually supply milk for a puppy that is not hers? We got a new puppy and the puppy seems to be nursing our 1 1/2 year old lab that has never had puppies????
