i came home from work last night to find my terrier mix ...

i came home from work last night to find my terrier mix lying on the floor beside my bed. she was not responding when i called her name. she looked really sick. it was nearly two am, so i decited to wait until morning to take her to the vet. when i woke at nine or so to check on her, she had past away. i cant afford an autopsy but i cant help to wonder what happened to her. she was only two years old, up to date on shots, fed, watered, and loved. i'm torn up inside. i just want to know what happened to her. she had shallow breathing, wouldnt get up...she did try to move but seemed to be in a lot of pain. i felt her heart beat and it was very slow. have any ideas?
