my year old black lab has started to pee on our hardwood

My 6 year old black lab has started to pee on our hardwood floors, (within the last 2 months) could this be because my father-in-law has moved into our basement with his chocolate lab temporarily. What are we to do? He know that it is wrong, he has never done this before is it because both dogs are not nuetered? and it is a dominance thing?
