Do scotties have difficulty with whelping?

Already Tried:
She was ude on the 24th ~ nothing yet. I read on a web site that they had difficult whelping.

They can go anywhere from an average of 61-65 days from time of conception. What was her actual date of breeding and did they tie more than once? Is she showing signs of labor? You can take her temperature rectally. Normal for a resting dog is 101-102. Usually it will drop below 100 within 24 hours of whelping- it can go as low as 98. Is he nesting, not wanting to eat, etc.? If she starts into actual labor and does nothing within a few hours then she may need a c- section. To answer our question direct- they do not have any more problems than any other breed under normal circumstances.
